Week 117 - Kitty Phone Case

Hi everybody.  How was your week?  Mine was pretty same - sunbathing, nap, bird watching, etc.  It is getting colder in Christchurch.  I found there was some frost this morning.

This week my human friend M made a phone case.  She dropped off her old phone and broke it.  She bought a new phone and decided to make a case to protect it.

She chose fake leather and cut out cat shape, attached fake white fur and lace, then fit a spring frame for opening.  The liner is quilted cotton.

Let's check this week's project.

The cat part is fluffy.

Week 116 - Cat Dot Buttons

Hello everyone.  How do you enjoy the weekend?  I went an annual vaccination and health check yesterday.  Result?  All good.  The vet told me that I have a quite clean mouth.  It is important for your health to keep your teeth clean.  I don't like to be checked my whole body and to get a injection, but it is a necessary evil.  Anyway, it is only once a year event.

This week M was making something with polymer clay.  Let's have a look.
Cat Dot Buttons

First, M made a base of the button with polymer clay and baked it harden.

Then she painted it as gold.  And attached cut-out polka dot cotton and a glass dome with resin.

Finally, she glued a part of button on the back to finish.

I am concentrating on checking.

Week 115 - Patchwork Fur Bag

Hi everybody.  How are you today?  It is getting colder in Christchurch.  I can feel the winter in the air.  My human friend M seems to be busy sewing something with fake fur.  The fake fur is not excellent enough as my fur.  The fluff from the fur cover all over the table.  What did M make this week?  Let's have a look.

Patchwork Fur Bag

She used three different kinds of fake fur and imitation suede for this bag.  She said that it is hard to sew the thick suede.  The size of patchwork is about 25 x 27 cm.

I thought the left fur is cow print, but M insists it is black/white cat print.  Whatever.

The liner is calico.  There is a pocket inside.

I am checking the black/white cat fur part.

Week 114 - Needle Felt Kitty Brooch

Hi everyone.  How are you today?  I happily curl up in lovely autumn sunshine.  My human friend M caught a cold this week.  Last week the temperature dropped suddenly and it cause her catching cold.  Now she seems to be okay.  I think she needs an annual vaccination just like me.

Anyway, M made a tiny brooch with needle felting.

Needle Felt Kitty Brooch

The cat size is about 6.5 x 3 cm.  She used acrylic felt which is easy to make the shape tidy.

Roughly make a shape of the body (right).

Then attach ears, legs and tail.

Make a face with attaching beads for eyes and stitches for whiskers and mouth.

Finally, glue the brooch pin on the back.

Example of use
I am checking.

Week 113 - Kitty Tote Bag

Welcome back to Everyweek Cat Craft Project.  After three weeks holidays, I am very excited to start this blog again.  Before start checking, I enjoyed snoozing in warm autumn sunshine.

My human friend M got a new sewing machine from Japan.  Her old sewing machine was broken down for a while.  So she decided to buy a new one and it is working perfectly.  M seems to be happy about it.

This week, M made a kitty tote using a new sewing machine.  Let's have a look.

Kitty Tote Bag

She made this bag with cotton and calico.  The handle is nylon webbing belt.  Her way of making this bay is a little bit unusual.  Look at the picture below.

I couldn't understand what she was doing, but this in none of my business.

I checked the finish.
See you next week!
