Week 190 - Ginger Kitten Out of Pocket Brooch

Hello everybody.  How are you today?  It's getting colder here in Christchurch.  I visited a vet yesterday.  What wrong with me?  Nothing.  Just an annual vaccination and a health check.  My doctor (aka veterinarian) told me that I am very good condition and look younger.  Besides, I gain a weight little bit.

Anyway, this week's project.  My human friend M made a cute ginger kitten brooch with needle felting.

Ginger Kitten Out of Pocket Brooch

Three weeks ago, M made a tabby kitten brooch.  Remember?  I am not sure that 'Kitten Out of Pocket Brooch' is a series or not.  Only M knows.

I am checking.

Week 189 - Black Cat Rope Dish

Hello human and cute kitties.  How's your Caturday?  It becomes quite cold here in Christchurch, NZ.  I just tried to keep myself warm on M, my human friend, although she seemed to be a little bit annoyed.  But I know every human likes a lap cat, especially in cold winter.

Anyway, let's have a look at this week's project.

Black Cat Rope Dish

M made a cute black cat dish with a rope.  It is small but good to keep keys or rings.

To make this cute dish, you need 35cm and 75cm ropes (about 0.9 cm diameter).

Use 75cm rope and start from the centre.  To keep sewing the row of rope until the rope end.  The dish is circle.
Make a small triangle shape with an end of 35cm rope.  It becomes an ear part.  Attach the triangle to the dish and sew along the edge.  Make another triangle the other end of rope and sew on.

Stitch whiskers with white embroidery thread.  If you want the dish stable, sew a rope ring on the reverse side.

I will check...

The dish is empty.

Week 188 - Lacy Daisy Key Strap

Hi craft and cat lovers.  Are you enjoying your weekend?  It become a wee bit windy here in Christchurch.  Falling leaves everywhere outside.  It's autumn.  My human friend M was preparing fake fur for something.  I thought it would be this week's project.  But she seemed to change her mind and make something different.

Let's have a look at this week's project.

Lacy Daisy Key Strap

M made a key strap this week.  You need cotton tape, cotton lace, a wooden cat button and key holder parts.

She just glued lace on the cotton tape and sew on the wooden cat button.  Then she attached key holder parts.  It is a quick and easy project.

I am checking.

Lacy Daisy?  This is a black cat.

Week 187 - Kitten Out of Pocket Brooch

Hi humans and gorgeous kitties.  Are you enjoying your weekend?

My human friend M went out this morning.  I concerned that she didn't make anything for this blog.  So I was relieved when I found she had already prepared something.  And where she went?  She told me that she went bird watching.  I am also a keen bird watcher, through a window.

Let's check this week's project, shall we?

Kitten Out of Pocket Brooch

M made a cute tabby kitten brooch with needle felting.  You may remember that Pocket Kitty Brooch in late January this year.  At that time it was a black cat.  It is same structure but much close to real cat.

Let's check.

I'm checking the smell.

Week 186 - Catnip Fish Toy

Hi everybody.  How's your weekend?  Normally Caturday is a craft day, but today is pre-Monday (aka Sunday).  You may think what's going on.  Well, my friend M was lazy and she skipped crafting on Saturday.  She made something today instead of Caturday.

Let's have a look.

Catnip Fish Toy

She made a catnip fish toy for me.  It is good to play with it, although I still think it is not good to skip Caturday.

Anyway, to make this fish requires cotton fabric, pompom tape, buttons, bias tape, polyester filling, thread and dried catnip.

I'm checking.

Oh, I've lost myself.
