Week 121 - Gorgeous Kitty Photo Frame

Hello cat people, craft lovers and kitties.  Do you enjoy a cold and damp winter?  Ah, of course, people and cats in northern hemisphere would enjoy a warm or hot summer.  For cats, a longer night means plenty of time to sleep, and a longer day means lots of sunshine to snooze in.  Either way, we can enjoy the life.

This week, my human friend M made a gorgeous photo frame.

Gorgeous Kitty Photo Frame

She had a small plain fabric photo frame.  It was too boring to put a photo and decorate.  She decided to remake it as a cat craft.

She made a tiny cat by flower print fabric and attached on the frame with picot lace, ribbon and a fish charm.

I am checking the fish charm.
See you next week!

Week 120 - Cat Bed Memo Holder

Hello people and cats.  How are you today?  Today is a shortest day in New Zealand and other southern hemisphere countries.  I am going to enjoy weak sunshine at windowsill and then to curl up on cozy spot.  Maybe in my fluffy bed.  Oh, by the way, my human friend M was making a tiny cat bed this week.

Let's have a look, shall we?

She used cotton, quilted calico and cute jacquard ribbon.  It looks like cozy, but too small for me.

This is for keeping memos.
Also good for mini-me.
Hello again, mini-me.

Week 119 - Fake Stone Cat Nacklaces

Hello cat and craft fans.  In human world, FIFA world cup has started and people seem to be excited to watch.  In kitty world, chasing a ball is only for kitten's entertainment.  Adult cats entertain ourselves in more sophisticated way.  For example, when human feel to get out from the bed to toilet for pee, we go on top of him/her and sit on the stomach, then knead around bladder.  If the person is a real cat person, he/she cannot move.  You can enjoy watching how humans try to get rid of us.  It is really enjoying, but remember the timing is everything.

Oh, I almost forget to show you this week's cat craft.  My human friend M made simple necklaces using polymer clay.
Fake Stone Cat Necklaces

She made pendant heads with polymer clay.  She tried to make them like semi-precious stones - Jade, Turquoise and Rose Quartz.

To make them glossy, she varnished UV resin on the surface.

Then attached the fake leather code.

I'm checking the jade one.
See you next week.

Week 118 - Shrink Plastic Kitty Rings

Hello people and kitties.  Since June started, I feel a day is getting shorter and shorter.  After snack time at 3 am, I return to sleep but hardly to get up at 8 am.  It's still dark.  My human friend M complains that I take the center of her bed to curl up.  People cannot understand that cats are kindly to keep the human's bed warm.  They should appreciate our attitude.

This week M made some rings with shrink plastic.  Let's have a look.

Shrink Plastic Kitty Rings

The materials are a sheet of translucent shrink plastic, permanent marker, acrylic paints and a Rhinestone.

As the plastic is translucent, it is easy to trace the picture or image.  She traced a lacy border for the ring of a gold one in above picture.  This one is not a cat craft so it is far back on the picture.

The purple ring is decorated by Rhinestone, and the clear one is cut out as cat shape by craft punch.

According to M, the most difficult part to make is to bend the plastic to ring shape.  It requires quick handling with wearing thick gloves - just a few seconds for bending time.

I am checking the clear one.

See you next week!
