Week 87 - Cat Cabochon Key Rings with Strap

Hello humans and kitties.  How are you?  It is strange weather here in Christchurch today.  It was sunny, then suddenly it became dark and thundering.  I hate thundering.  It scares me.  I don't like noisy things.  Noisy?  What?  M told me that I was snoring last night.  She must be joking.  I don't believe it.

Well, this week M made a couple of key rings.
Cat Cabochon Key Rings
According to M, it is easy if you have all materials - 1 x key ring, 1 x cabochon setting and matching resin sticker, 1 x end cap crimp, 20 cm ribbon or fabric of your choice, charms or beads, your favorite picture.  The width of ribbon should be the same as the end cap crimp's.

How to make a key ring.

1. Re-size your favorite picture using computer or photo copy machine.
2. Carefully put a resin sticker on it and crop to make a cabochon.
3. Glue the cabochon onto the setting.  Set aside.
4. Make a strap.  Hold half and attach a end cap crimp.  If your ribbon is thin, you may need to line with fabric or tape.
5. Attach the strap to a key chain as well as the cabochon.  Add beads or charms if desire.  Finish.

M made a French taste key ring using tricolor ribbon lined with cotton tape, an Eiffel Tower charm, and a 'chat noir' picture.

And the other one is a Daisy key ring.  She used the picture that she painted two weeks ago.  The Gingham ribbon is lined with linen.  It is decorated by daisy chains with a mauve cat's eye bead.

I am checking the stitching.
