Week 185 - Leopard Paw Pouch

Hello everybody.  How was your week?  My human friend M changed a layout of our room without asking me.  Humans are selfish.  I am confused a little bit because I cannot watch outside from my usual couch.  Although she put a chair in front of the window for me, I still miss comfy couch.

Anyway, let's have a look at this week's project.

Leopard Paw Pouch

M made a tiny pouch which shapes a leopard paw.

The clasp is only 5 x 3.5 cm.  M told me that it is hard to handle the fake fur in such a tiny scale.

The liner is printed cotton fabric.

Is this today's project to check?

I'm checking the inside.

Week 184 - Nine Lives Felt Ball Nacklace

Hi every human and kitty.  I am sorry I couldn't update an article yesterday.  My human friend M went to Hanmer Springs leaving me behind.  I enjoyed beautiful sunshine and a quiet Caturday at home.

This week M made a unique necklace with felted ball.

Nine Lives Felt Ball Necklace

M made 9 felt balls with wet felting.  And she attached the cat fur pattern with needle felting.  Then, she made a hole each ball and inserted a leather cord.  Put clasps each end of leather code and finished.

I am checking the fur pattern.

Week 183 - Leopard Pot Cover

Hi every human and kitty.  It is Caturday and nice napping weather here in Christchurch.  My human friend M tries to declutter rooms, but it seems to be a hard work.

This week M made a plant pot cover using her old jumper.

She chopped off the sleeve of old jumper and attached leopard fabric.  The sleeve part is purrfect for a tiny plastic pot.

Let's have a look.

Checking from back.

Can I eat this?

Week 182 - Black Cat Mini Statues

Hello craft people and kitties.  What are you up to?

It's April, and the daylight saving is finishing tomorrow here in New Zealand.  I notice the night is getting longer and longer.  I've already missed bright summer sunshine.

I don't know why, but my human friend M bought sunflowers a couple days ago.  They are in a vase on the table.  Why sunflower?  Why now?  I cannot understand humans.  Incidentally, I prefer daisies to sunflowers.

Anyway, let's have a look at this week's project.

Black Cat Mini Statues

Roughly shaped clay
M made these mini statues with polymer clay.  Just using hands, she shaped simple cat figures.

Originally, she was going to make flat silhouettes to decorate a switch panel.  Black cat silhouette decoration is not so unique, so she changed her mind and made them as 3D.

I am checking the shape.

Have a great weekend!

Week 181 - Fur Collar for Cat

Happy Easter!  Are you enjoying a long weekend?  Easter is a festival for bunnies and chicks.  We, cats have nothing to do with it.  Even though, I still enjoy the lazy weekend.  My human friend M has only usual weekend.  No long weekend.  Poor M...

This week, M made a nice and soft fur collar for me.

Fur Collar for Cat
M made a tiny collar.  It is small scale of humans.  And it is made just like as humans.

I like the liner which is pink tiger print satin.

I tried it on.

It's just like a part of my fur.

Week 180 - Sylvester the cat

Hi everybody.  How's your Caturday going?  I enjoyed autumn sunshine at the windowsill.  It is quite warm in Christchurch.  My human friend M was doing needle felting for this week's project.  It's peaceful Caturday afternoon.

Here's her work for this week.

Sylvester the cat

Sylvester is a cat who is working as volunteer at the Canterbury Charity Hospital.

Since M knew the cat is working for the hospital, she has wanted to make something to help them to continue the service.

M is planning to donate this felted Sylvester to Charity Hospital.

Week 179 - Two Tone Fluffy Purse

Hello cat people and wonderful kitties.  It was a little bit chilly this morning.  I felt autumn smell in the air.  My human friend M was making something frantically.  It is Caturday.

This week M made an elegant fluffy purse using a double purse frame.

Two Tone Fluffy Purse

Fake fur and fake suede made M's work more difficult.  Why?  They are too thick to sew and fake fur spreads fluff all over the room.  However, once it finished, they give a gorgeous look.

The frame is double.  Different from usual frame, there is a separation in the middle.  M was struggle to make a pattern but somehow she made it.

M attached an inner pocket for convenience.

I am checking the fur.
