Week 101 - Porcelain Painting - Kitty Ballet

Hello every human and cat.  Thanks for everybody, the 101st week has started.

When I got up around midday today, my human friend M was baking something in a oven.  She sometimes bakes cake or muffins and the sweet smell in the room as it is baked.  But there wasn't any smell today.  It doesn't seem to be food.  Then, what did she bake?

Well, it seems to be this week's project in the oven.  Let's have a look, shall we?

Porcelain Painting

She bought plain $1 mug and plate this week and decided to make an original dish for herself.

Painted with the special markers and baked the dish to make the picture permanent.

If you are familiar with this blog, you may remember 'Royal Kitty Ballet Team', as they appear sometimes in this blog.  M decided Kitty Ballet as the theme of this project.  However, M doesn't have much knowledge about ballet.  She found the basic ballet position and let the cats do it.

Week 100 - Felted Kitten 'Daisy'

Ladies and gentlemen, cats and kittens, I, Daisy the cat proudly announce you that my blog 'Everyweek Cat Craft Project' has reached the 100th week.  One hundreds weeks, one hundreds projects.  It took nearly 15 years (in cat year).  I am very satisfied with this achievement.  And I am excited to show you the 100th work today.

My human friend, M made a needle felted kitten.  This kitten reminds me of my kittenhood.

Surely M doesn't know my kittenhood, because she adopted me when I was two years old.  Apart from no tabby patch on the right arm, she is me!

M made each parts first and put together, then added more details.

Week 99 - Kitty Stamps

A Happy Meow Year!
It is 2014, and this year's first blog.
Last Christmas, M received a present from her friend in Japan.  Knowing M's taste, the friend sent a lot of goodies to M.  And one of them is an eraser for stamp making.  Therefore, M decided to make stamps using it.

This eraser has two layers so that it is easy to carve.  Long time ago M made eraser stamps and made an original tag to sew on.  Eraser stamp is not so difficult to make and it is worth trying.

How to make an eraser stamp

You need : Eraser, Craft knife, Pencil (B or 2B), Tracing paper (Cooking paper will do), Paper, Ink pad, Cutting mat

1. Draw a picture.

2. Trace the picture with a pencil.
  If you don't have a tracing paper, you can use non stick cooking paper.  M used cooking paper.

3. Face a drawn side on the eraser and rub to transfer the picture.

4. Cut out the eraser.

5. Carve carefully.  You only carve where you want to be white.

M stamped them on an envelope.

Week 98 - Cat Print Tote Bag

Dear Santa,
Thanks for a wonderful gift.  If you do it again next Christmas, I will scratch and punch you...

This is not what I expect.

Oh, hi everybody.  How was your Christmas?  Did you have a nice gift?  Don't ask me.  Mine was terrible.

Guess what?   That old SantaClaws guy gave me a few fleas in spite of my request.  Therefore, M, my human friend gave me a flea treatment drop this year.  Life is cruel, isn't it?

I am disappointed in this year's Christmas but the life still goes on.  Let's start to check this week's project.


This week, M made a tote bag with cat print canvas which she bought a couple weeks ago.

Cat Print Tote Bag

The handles are nylon webbing belt.  The bag size is about 33 x 31 x 5 cm.

M attached tricolour ribbon as a tag.  It becomes an accent on this monotone bag.

There is a small pocket on the other side.

The liner is polka dot cotton fabric and a magnet fastener on it.
There is an inner pocket as well.

I am checking the shape.

Week 97 - Cat Macaroon Bracelet

Dear Santa,
I have been a wonderful cat and worked hard.  Please give me a piece of fresh tuna, Fancy feast for one year, boneless chicken roast, salmon fillets, Temptations chicken flavour...etc.

Oh, hi.  I was writing to Santa.  I don't know his address but I hope he reads this blog and brings some of my requests.  Okay, I will start to work for this week's project.

This week, M made miniature fake sweets using polymer clay.  This polymer clay is harden by air-dry, not by usual oven-baked.  It is much easier to shape and smooth texture is excellent to miniature details.  M made colourful macaroons.

Cat Macaroon Bracelet

Each macaroon is about 2 cm diameter, sandwiched clay cream as real macaroon.




M also made a Pavlova and a gingerbread cat for charms.  Pavlova is approximately 2.5 cm (1 inch).


Pavlova is a Kiwi icon and Kiwi people eat it in any special occasions - of course, in Christmas as well.

Week 96 - Puss in Xmas stocking

Hello humans and kitties.  It is about ten days to Christmas and people seems to be very busy to prepare the festive season.  We, cats are amazed to watch humans in such a hustle.  My human friend M is not preparing for Christmas, but she seems busy to prepare the project for this blog.

This week's project is also for the Christmas.  M made Christmas decorations with needle felting.

M made a kitten with needle felting and sewed tiny Christmas sock for it.







She also made a ball decoration with needle felting.

The ball is about 4 cm diameter.

Week 95 - Puss Pomander

Hello humans and cats.  How's your first weekend in December?  It is very warm in Christchurch.  People in Northern Hemisphere hardly understand summer in December.  So as M.  She doesn't seem to get used to Christmas in summer forever.  I don't mind summer or winter as long as I can have a good meal.  I enjoy munching salads this morning, although I am not a vegetarian.



Previously, M started Christmas project and made a cat shape wreath.  This week, she tried to make a traditional Christmas project - pomander ball.
This is a cat craft blog.  How does she arrange the pomander ball to a cat craft.  Let's have a look.

Orange and Cloves

All you need for this project is :
Orange, cloves, wire, ribbon, beads and tools ( skewer, scissors and wire cutter)

Started with the face, "M" pattern on the forehead, then tabby stripe on back and finished with the whiskers.  






Personally, I don't like citrus smell but as a professional quality controller, I checked it anyway.
