Week 14 - Fur Collar

I am checking the overview of this blog.
Welcome back to "Everyweek Cat Craft Project".  Most people don't believe that cats can do computing.  I admit that it is very difficult to use keyboards, but we, cat can handle the mouse very well, you know.

This week, M made a fur collar for her white coat.  The coat she bought two years ago is simple and conservative but looks like an uniform of scientists or doctors.

It can use for a black sweater.

It becomes gorgeous.

A tabby and white is gorgeous.  I know M is especially a big fan of tabby and white cats.

Let me check the quality.

Grosgrain ribbon is nice.

See you next week.

Week 13 - Door Stopper

Hi there.  How was your week?  My week is always busy for patrolling inside the house, birdwatching, observing M's house work and writing this blog.  I must admit I am a hard worker.  Some people say that cats are lazy.  I disagree.  Famous Larry is working at 10 Downing Street in UK, another famous Oscar is taking care of elder people in Rhode Island in US and lots of cats are working for Neko cafes in Japan. Most domestic cats are the therapist for humans.  By the way, I think Larry and Oscar are resemble looks - tabby and white - so am I !

This week, M made an another hard working cat.  She seems to be lazy but she is actually working to stop a door shut.

She is a black velvet cat with green eyes.  It is difficult to see in the photo below but she has long whiskers.  M stuffed dried soy beans to give her some weight.  Unfortunately, she hasn't have a name yet.  Any idea?

Hello.  I am a door stopper.
Pink satin ribbon is cute, isn't it?

Thanks for hard work.

Week 12 - Chocolate Fish Toy

Hello, everybody.  Daisy from NZ.  This week's project is a dangling fish toy.  Since M made gorgeous collars for me in week 3(remember?), she hasn't made anything for cats and I am getting bored.  I asked M to make something for me.   At first she seemed to think about a fancy fish dangling toy as you can find in a pet shop.  Then she saw chocolate fish on the table and this week's idea flashed into her mind.

I tried to catch.
Tried again.

Week 11 - Falling Cat 3D Picture

Hi.  How are you?  Here in New Zealand is autumn.  The calm and fine weather these days.  I enjoy napping in sunshine in daytime and eating crunchy biscuits in the dark kitchen at night.  This week, M was doing something with air-dry clay and a canvas.  Clay sculpture or picture?  What?  Both?

Well, she made a 3D picture which you don't need those bizarre glasses.

It is famous that cats can land on their feet.

We can survive but please do not try to examine your cat.

This cat looks like me.

Week 10 - Leopard Necklace

Hello everybody!  Daisy is here.  I heard that animal print is this season's trend.  Tiger and leopard are always popular.  They are very fashionable and elegant.  I am proud of being their relative.
This week M made a leopard necklace and earrings.

These beads are made with polymer clay using millefiore technique.  Photo below, the left; a ball of solid clay, the centre; the ball that applied the slices of cane,  the right; the ready to bake ball that rolled and sealed the edges of the cane slices.

Leopard is good.  My tabby pattern is better.

Week 9 - Purbie Doll

Hi.  Daisy again.  How are you today?  One week has past so quickly.
By the way, who is your favourite cat character?  Garfield?  Hello Kitty?  Or Felix the Cat?  This week's project is so exciting.  New star has just arrived in the cat's world.

I would like to proudly introduce you Purbie Doll.

This doll has an armature inside, so she can stand, sit and pose.  She has blue eyes, wearing black dress, fake fur animal print jacket and leather boots.

Hello, I am Purbie.
Nice jacket, isn't it?

 See you next week.

Week 8 - CAT ON BOARD plate

Happy Easter!  How are you enjoying this long weekend?  Me?  I am enjoying sunshine.  M is staying at home and seems to think about next project.  Lots of people are travelling during this weekend.  I don't like travel, especially by car.  It is terrible.  How human and dogs can enjoy in such a tiny, noisy and shaky place? However, at least once a year I have to ride on a car to go to vet or boarding cattery.  With a cat, it is difficult for cat lovers to drive as usual.  You would like to go slow for your cat, but you don't want to irritate the driver behind.  Well, this week's project may solve such a dilemma.
