Week 194 - Pompom Key Ring

Hi humans and gorgeous kitties.  Are you having a relax weekend?  My human friend M planned to go bird watching this morning but she gave up it due to the cloudy and chilly weather.  I know she was longing for such an activity to be close to nature after stressful weekdays.  I hope it will be fine tomorrow so that she can go somewhere to unwind.  I will stay and watch birds from the window, though.

This week, M made a pompom key ring.

How to make a pompom key ring.

You need soft fake fur, velvet ribbon, key ring with chain and stuffing.

First cut out the fake fur.  M used 18cm plate as a template.

Stitch 5mm inside of the edge with straight stitch.

Once you stitch round, pull the string.

Stuff the polyester fillings and pull the string more tightly to close fabric and make a ball.

Sew a ribbon tab and ribbon tie on the hole.

Attach the key ring to the tab to finish.

Week 193 - White Tiger Fluffy Tote Bag

Hi everybody.  How are you enjoying this Caturday?  It is decently cold as winter here in Christchurch, NZ.  I am snuggling up on my heated throw.  My human friend M insists the throw is hers, but I don't care.  While I am using the throw, it is mine.  This is a cat rule.

Anyway, it's time to the Caturday's craft project.  Let's have a look.

White Tiger Fluffy Tote Bag

M made a fluffy tote bag this week.

She mainly used white fake fur, white tiger fake fur and black fake leather.   No animal harmed.

The liner is cotton calico.

The back is plain white fake fur only.

The body size is 32 x 26 cm.

I'm checking the fur.

Week 192 - Cat Person Stamp

Hi humans and wonderful kitties.  How's your weekend going?

I enjoyed bird watching through the window.  My human friend M went to Travis wetland for bird watching this afternoon as well.

M told me that the place is actually not so far and lots of birds you can find.  One of the photos M took is Pukeko, the local bird.



Now, the time for a craft project.  Let's have a look at this week's work.

Cat Person Stamp

M made a stamp with carving rubber.

She made some stamps in the past.  The photo left is the week 99 project.  Remember?







M secretly told me that she is going to make another project using this stamp.

Week 191 - Recycled Cat Jar

Hi everybody.  Are you having a good weekend?  I enjoyed sunshine after long wet days.  My human friend M went shopping in the morning.  I worried that she would skip Caturday's crafting, but in a couple of hour she came back with a bag of cat biscuits and lots of Fancy Feasts.  She told me that those cat foods are on sale because of Queen's birthday weekend.  Love you, Queen.

This week, M made a cat theme bottle with recycling pasta sauce jar.

She painted cat shape with blackboard paint and attached cotton and lace, then tied cotton twine with a wooden cat charm.
