Week 130 - Felted Kitten 'Blackie'

Hi people and cats.  There are shocking news revealed in this week that the famous Hello Kitty is NOT a cat.  According to Sanrio, the company of Hello Kitty, she is a girl cartoon character, not a cat.  Ah my goodness, I feel I was also denied being a cat.  Hello Kitty must be a cat.  What do you think?

Anyway, let's check M's work, shall we?

Felted Kitten 'Blackie'

 M made a needle felted kitten 'Daisy' in the week 100.  This time she made the second kitten playing with a ball yarn.  The kitten is a black and white with blue eyes.  A small white spot on his nose.

Roughly making each part first, M assembled together by felting with a needle.  Keeping on felting until the surface is smooth and firm, then attached fishing threads with glue as whiskers.

Week 129 - Fluffy Leopard Cufflinks

Hi craft people and gorgeous kitties.  How are you today?  I am very fine, but my human friend M caught a cold and doesn't seem to be in a good condition.  I don't know why humans don't get an annual vaccination to prevent sicknesses.  They need to get a thick injection on their neck like we do.

Anyway, she tried to make something easy, and here is this week's work.

Fluffy Leopard Cufflinks

M had a pair of cufflinks with cabochon setting.  It is okay to attach a glass dorm on it as usual, but she arranged it as a puffy and fluffy cufflink.

I'm checking the material.

Week 128 - Kitty Lunch Bag

Hi cat people and intelligent kitties.  I hope you enjoy lazy Saturday afternoon, while I am working so hard.  I have to push my human friend M hard to work for a cat craft on every Saturday.  Humans tend to be lazy without a house cat's supervising.  Somehow M finished this week's project.

This week M made a small lunch bag.  Looks more snack bag than lunch bag.

Kitty Lunch Bag

The outer fabric is linen/cotton.  To make it as a cat craft, M cut out a cat shape, then attached the plain brown linen from the under.  Made straight stitches as whiskers and sewed on a matching ribbon.








Sewed on a zipper to open.  Attached a hollow kitty charm as the zipper's handle.

Week 127 - Crazy Cat Lady Magnet

Hi people and kitties.  How's your weekend?  My weekend is not much different from weekdays.  Sun bathing, grooming, and sleeping.  Only one special thing to do in weekend is to update this blog.

This week, my human friend, M made a fridge magnet using polymer clay.

It is hard to see on the photo above, but the cat shape has millefiori cat pattern.

She cut out the letters one by one using a craft knife. Then attached on the base.

After baking to be harden, a magnet was glued on the back.

I am checking the spelling.

Week 126 - Leather-Cotton Drawstring Pouch

Hello everyone.  It's a cat and craft time.  It is quite warm these days in Christchurch.  I can smell the cherry blossom and other spring flowers.  It was so warm that I felt sleepy while I was waiting for M's work done.

This week M made a drawstring pouch, using two different materials.

Leather-Cotton Drawstring Pouch

The bottom is 14 cm diameter, and the height is about 20 cm.  M used brown fake leather and printed cotton for outer, embellished with torchon lace and ribbon, a cat applique, leather cord and a wood bead.

The wood bead has leopard pattern on it.
