Week 146 - Kitty Gold Nacklace

Meowy Christmas people and kitties.  How did you spend your Christmas this year?  Me?  I had an ordinary day because my human friend M was working as usual.  She recently got a break-up, caught a cold and have to work on this festive season.  Poor things.  Cheer up, M.  I am always on your side as long as you feed me.

Let's start this week's project, shall we?

This week, M made a gorgeous necklace.

Week 145 - Tartan Check Cat Baubles

Hello people and kitties.  Christmas is just around the corner.  My human friend M told me that no special things in Christmas day because I have already had a luxurious life.  She said, "Everyday is just like Christmas for you".  I insist every kitty must have a turkey dish and a tuna pudding on Christmas day.

Well, let's start this week's Christmas cat craft project.

This week, M made small cat baubles for decoration.

Tartan Check Cat Baubles

These small cat shape baubles are made with paper clay.  After being shaped and air-dried, it becomes harden and airy light.  M painted red and green tartan with water colors.  Then applied clay gloss.

This green tartan is too dark.

Wish you all have Meowy Christmas!

Week 144 - Meowy Christmas Card

Hi everyone.  How are you ?  People seem to be busy for shopping or sending season's greeting cards.  We, cats are amazed to watch people in a haste.  And a Christmas tree fascinates us naturally.  It is glittering and shiny.  Cannot help us climbing up.  Me?  No, I don't climb the tree.  M hasn't put a Christmas tree yet.  Rats!

This week, my human friend, M made a Christmas card.

Meowy Christmas Card

She made red and green strips and made them as a checker.  Cats and Paws are holed by craft punches.

M used the last week's stamp inside and coloured.

I am checking the outside of the card.

And inside.

Week 143 - Meowy Christmas Stamp

Hi humans and kitties.  December has already started.  And it is time for Christmas Cat Crafts.  Every year my human friend M makes Christmas Cat Crafts in December, and so as this year.  What did she make for the first week of December?  Let's have a look.

Meowy Christmas Stamp

M made a stamp for Christmas.  It is useful for card making.

She draw a picture on a cooking paper with a pencil.

And rub the picture onto the eraser to trace it.

Then carefully carve it.  It may take a few hours to finish.  It depends on the picture, though.

I am checking the details.

Week 142 - Toilet Paper Holder

Hi everybody.  It's Saturday, craft day!  Honestly, I don't know how long this project will last, but I enjoy seeing our rooms are occupied by so many cat goods.  Certainly my human friend M seems to be uncomfortable to watch the room becoming like a cat theme park.  And an another cat good is produced this week.

This week M made a toilet paper holder.

Toilet Paper Holder
The flap is a snow leopard back and tail.  It holds 2 rolls.  Now cat crafts begin to invade the bathroom.  How exciting!

I'm checking the bottom.

Mmm...still has room for cat crafts.

Week 141 - Catnip toys and Collars Galore

Hi humans and kitties.  How's your weekend?  It is a great summer day here in New Zealand.  I heard that snow storm hit North America.  Hope all cats have a shelter to keep themselves warm.  The world seems to be small with developments of the Internet and telecommunication, but thinking of those difference of seasons and climates, it is still beyond measurable.  I like warm and dry place.

Well, this week, my human friend M made some cat collars and toys.

Polka Dot Cat Collars
Catnip Birdies
M made 8 collars for her online shop.  The cat shape buckle is so cute.  It is break-away so that your cat can escape from the danger of caught and stuck.  She also made new colour birdies.  Originally she made a red one and I introduce it on this blog.

I was checking...and

I couldn't resist the catnip smell, sorry.

Week 140 - Leopard Frame Pouch

Hi everyone.  Are you enjoying your weekend?  I got up, ate, took a nap, watched birds and slept, while my human friend M was sewing.  Cats are busy.  We have to control humans, dogs, small animals, whatever and whoever in the world.  Some are entertaining humans on YouTube.  I have to do blogging for M's cat crafts.

Let's start my work.  This week M made a frame pouch.
Leopard Frame Pouch

She used leopard fake fur and fake suede for the body.  The liner is cute cat print fabric.  She didn't use interfacing but put a thin plastic board on the bottom.

The frame size is 24 cm.

Looks okay.

How's inside?

Week 139 - Reversible Hair Band

Hi humans and kitties.  Have you took good naps these days?  I am trying to sleep in daytime, because the Guy Fawkes's fireworks disturb my quiet night time.  It really annoys me.

Anyway, let's start to check this week's project.

Reversible Hair Band

This week, my human friend M made a hair band.  One side is lace band, and the other is a cat motif lace applique.   It can be used both sides.

The material of hair band is linen and elastic.

I am checking the detail.

Week 138 - 3 Ways Choker Nacklace

Hi people and cats.  Did you enjoy Halloween last night?  As Halloween is a festival for black cats and it has nothing to do with me, I just stayed at home as usual.  Besides, I assume not many people and cats were doing 'trick or treat' stuff in New Zealand.

This week, my human friend M was beading.  She hasn't made a beaded accessory for a while.  Here is the finished work.

3 Ways Choker Necklace

M got a synthetic hematite cat charm.  She attached it to a barrel spacer bead for dangling on the cord.  Using lobster crasp each end of the beaded necklace so that it can be detachable to the cat cord necklace.

It can be used as two different necklaces

I am checking the quality.

Week 137 - Kitty Shoe Keeper

Hi humans and kitties.  What's up to you?  My human friend M weeded out a tiny garden for spring plants.  After the garden was dug neatly, some birds came to find insects or seeds.  I enjoyed watching birds closely through the window.

This week, M made shoe keeper using used socks.

Kitty Shoe Keeper

M made pom pom cat flowers two weeks ago, and this time she attached a pom pom cat as a decoration.

If you have socks, it is easy to make this project.  Just fill socks with stuffing fiber, pantyhose with a run or anything.  It is good idea to fill fiber with aroma oil or small sachet of baking soda.  The socks don't need to be new.  You can use old socks with hole on toe.

I am checking from top

to bottom.

Week 136 - Daisy Collar

Hi everybody.  It's Saturday, and a cat craft day!  It's not officially, but I am looking forward to checking my human friend M's craft on every Saturday.

I was waiting for this week's project, while M was still making something.  M seemed to be stressed as I was waiting for the finish of M's work right in front of her.  I wanted to check it before I go to sleep, and I became very sleepy.  Soon M finished this week's project.  Phew!

Daisy Collar

M made a cute daisy collar for me.  The collar itself is made with gingham cotton with elastic inserted.  And a break-away safety buckle is attached.  Daisy flowers are made with felt fabric.

She made a similar hair tie for herself.  The daisy parts are made by needle felting.

I tried it on.

Is it pretty on me?

Week 135 - Pom Pom Cat Flower

Hi everyone.  What are you up to?  I really enjoy spring sun these days.  Being in sunshine, I feel I am getting the energy from it.  Getting the energy, I can sleep more.  This is a cat life.

This week, my human friend M was doing something with knitting yarn.  Knitting?  Crocheting?  Well, let's have a look.

Pom Pom Cat Flower
She made pom poms.  And arranged them as a cat look with attached felt ears.  Pom poms are approx 7 cm diameter.  White one has a red ribbon on her ear, just like Hello Kitty.

M didn't put the face on it, but it would be cute with the face as well.

I am checking the way of arrangement.
Fair enough.

Week 134 - Hair tie with Kitty Buttons

Hello kitties and human beings.  How are you this week?  I am quite happy in warm spring sun.  My human friend, M seems to be frustrated to stay at home in spite of this fine weather.  I don't allowed her to go out without finishing this week's project.

Well, she made this week's small work.  Let's have a look.

Hair tie with Kitty Buttons

This week, M made three small covered buttons using linen.  Before covered buttons, she stitched a cat face on it.

The buttons are small as approx 12 mm.  She attached these buttons to red rectangle fake suede and make it as a tube, then put elastic through it.

It can be worn on a wrist to stop your sleeve down.

I am checking the detail.
