Week 46 - Leopard Granny Bag

Hi everyone!  It is the end of 2012.  How was your year?  My year has been a little bit busy to check M's work every week.  As I have a curiosity, I enjoy checking the quality and the details.  I hope you also enjoy my blog.  Well, this is the last blog of this year.
Leopard Granny Bag

The opening part is lined in an elastic.  It can hold goods more than it seems.  When she made this, I was sleeping.  She came and asked me to check the quality.
Is this the work of this week?
I am checking the detail.
Thanks for reading.  See you next year!

Week 45 - Christmas Bandanna

Calisthenics
Hello everybody!  Are you ready for Christmas?
Three more sleeps to go to Christmas for humans.  Many more sleeps and naps for us, cats.  Don't blame us as lazy.  Sleeping is one of our important activity.  And we don't forget to exercise to maintain our body healthier.

Last two weeks, M made Christmas related crafts - Christmas Sock and Ornaments.  And this week, M made a Christmas Bandanna for me.
Merry Meowy X'mas Bandanna
O of Meowy is cat shaped and has Rhine stones eyes.

All letters are drawn by puffy paint which swells up with heat applied.
I'm checking the quality.
I tried it on.

Week 44 - Christmas Cat Ornaments

Hello humans and cats!  Only 9 days to go until Christmas.  M told me that shopping mall looks like chaos with people hunting gifts for Christmas.  I am pleased to being a cat.  I am not interested in humans events.  So as M.  She is Cat-holic not Catholic.

However, M has tried to make Christmas goods since last week.  This week, she made Christmas ornaments.

At first, M tried to make it like me.  Then, she found it looks like Purzee, the M's first cat.  Well, Purzee and I are both tabby and white short hair domestic cats.  Very similar appearance.  M tried again to make it like me.  Do you think the right cat in the photo above resembled me?

<Easy steps to make a cat ornament>

1. A small block of polymer clay
2. Roughly shape like a cat

3. Put tabby pattern on it

4. Make a costume

5. Just before baking

Week 43 - Christmas Sock

Hi everybody.  How was this week?  Humans seem to be very busy to prepare to festive season.   It is only seventeen days to Christmas so that M and I decided to feature Christmas related cat crafts from this week.

This week, M made a Christmas sock for me.
Christmas Sock
Yes, "I HAVE BEEN A GOOD CAT".  So I am expecting a really good present.  What is a really good present?  I wish a large house with a large back yard.  ... I know it is impossible unless M wins a lottery.  I am a good cat not a greedy cat.  Fresh tuna meat would be okay.

Please don't forget fresh tuna meat.

Week 42 - Kitty Bag Charms

Hello humans and kitties.  December has begun.  People seem to have already started Christmas shopping.  Just couple days ago, a big craft shop opened in nearby shopping mall.  M was excited and bought some craft books and sheer curtain fabric from them.   Unfortunately what M got has nothing to do with cat crafts this week.

M made bag charms using UV resin as it is fine day today.
Kitty Bag Charms

She made two different styles.  Red gingham fabric as the back and blue Pearl-Ex mixed in resin.  Normally she uses Pearl-Ex for her clay craft.  And she found it does work for resin as well.

Of course these charms can be used as a pendant top, but she made them as a bag charm this time.

Do you want me to check these?

Okay.  Now I am checking.

Week 41 - Meow Coasters

Hi everyone!  How was your week?
It's Saturday.  Daisy's blog is updating.
I have a quiz for you.  What do you need to provide when you have a cat?
Food?  Yes, it's essential.  Fresh water?  Of course.  Clean litter?  Definitely.
And?  Hint; Look at the photo. →

Yes, we need fresh grass.  Munching grass is important for cats to take vitamin and to control hairball.  If your cat can access grasses outside, it would not be a problem.  But if you cat is indoor only or in no green environment, you should provide cat grass.

And of course, we, cats need a lot of love. =^..^=

This week, M made a couple of coasters for her tea time.
Meow Coasters
Cat shape is not an applique, but it is cut out from the top fabric. So this coaster consists of three fabrics.  Top is the frame part.  The middle is cat shape part and the bottom is felt as back.  Decorated by picot lace.

Back of the coasters.
I am checking the details.

Have a nice break.

Week 40 - Luxury Luggage Tags

I was trapped in a curtain.
Hi everyone!  How are you?
"One week has past so quickly", M always grumbles to me.  Well, for me, every week is calm, quiet and peaceful.  I usually enjoy birdwatching, taking a nap and relaxing.  Life is too short to be wasted by stress.  Relax, people.  Take a nap.

This week, M made two different type of luggage tags.
One is for a suitcase and one is for a hand luggage.

Luxury Luggage Tags
These tags are made from synthetic leather with vinyl window.

Both tags are cat-shaped.  And the small tag has a fish-shaped window.
I am checking the quality.

Oh, this is mine.  But I don't have a suitcase.

Week 39 - Pink Panther Purse

Hello everyone!  How's your week?  Two weeks ago, I told you about Hank the cat who runs for the open senate in Virginia.  Well, he received enough votes to place the third at this stage.  The final vote count will come by next Tuesday.  Exciting news for cats, isn't it?

This week, M made a pink panther purse using a frame clasp.

She put a tiny cat charm for the decoration.

I am checking from the top.

Week 38 - Flower Cat Linen Clips

Hi everyone!  How are you ?    I am sure it has nothing to do with the hurricane Sandy, but it has been gusty since yesterday in Christchurch.  Even such a windy condition, people seem to enjoy fireworks.  I hate fireworks.  Every animal is threaten by fireworks.  And it is absolutely no necessary to celebrate the Guy Fawkes Day. Don't you think so?

Well, it's time to feature this week's cat craft.  M made three different cat shaped clips this week.

These clips can be used as a brooch to show your affection for cats.

Week 37 - Cat Galore Bag

Hello everyone!  How are you today?  There are some cats remarkably working in this world as I introduced you in this blog a few months ago.  Remember, Oscar, Larry, Tama and Stubbs.  And at last, a cat becomes a candidate for Senate in Virginia in US.  Hank the cat is running for the open Senate seat in Virginia.  I don't know much about politics and US election, however I'm very interested in Hank's campaign.  If you are also interested in him, go to his website, http://www.hankforsenate.com  He is a beautiful tabby and white cat.

This week, M made a cat bag for herself.

But you may think why this is 'cat galore'?  Well, let's look at inside.

Cat print liner

Handmade tag

So many cats are printed on the liner.  Besides, M made a cat shaped orange button with polymer clay and saw on a handmade tag from last week's project.  A large pocket inside is very useful to keep small goods.

I'm checking outside.
And checking inside.
